Elemtu Integrated Milk Industry Share Company

Elemtu is a start-up dairy processing company with the goal to supply wholesome dairy products to the domestic market. The headquarters is in Addis Ababa and the processing plant is on the road to Chancho about 45 minutes north of Addis Ababa. The success of the company depends on its ability to effectively collect large volumes of high quality milk from smallholder dairy farmers which it will process in its newly constructed modern milk processing plant is nearly completed at a cost of approximately $1.9 mil USD.

Purpose of Grant

The grant will provide milk chilling equipment at newly established Milk Collection Points (MCP) and Milk Collection Centers (MCC) and associated equipment. The grant will also provide equipment such as refrigerators, for milk retail kiosks.
