Love Letter: An Ode to Ethiopian Coffee
A month after the Specialty Coffee Association of America’s (SCAA) annual event held in Seattle, coffee experts can’t stop talking about Ethiopian coffee. Ethiopia was presented to over 11,000 participants from the US’ specialty coffee industry as the portrait country for this year’s event.
In this short video prepared by SCAA, baristas, tasters, buyers and connoisseurs talk about the way Ethiopian coffees have changed their lives.
Every opinion boils down to Ethiopian coffee having the most powerful taste and most eclectic palette, this of course is due to the long evolution of the coffee plant in Ethiopia. As its origin, coffee has spent thousands of years adapting to Ethiopia’s unique climate and geography, not to mention, the natural selection which occurs annually in the hands of over 4 million coffee farmers.
